Hazelwood Police Blotter: Assault on Police Officers and Bomb Threats

This week's blotter contains your regular petty crimes, along with a few that stick out.

 November 7

MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS: An employee at GKN Aerospace was transported for mental evaluation after she called her husband and stated that when she got off work she was going to harm herself, according to police.

STEALING: Police responded to a call in the 7400 block of Sieloff where an individual's Garmin GPS was stolen from their vehicle.

BURGLARY: Police responded to a call at Krupp Trucking where the front window of the business was broken out, according to police, where entry was gained and a cash box was stolen.

STEALING: An individual fled Howdershell BP without paying for gasoline.

 

November 5

ASSAULT ON AN OFFICER: Police arrested a man at St. Louis Mills after he assaulted a police officer. According to police, as the man was leaving Regal St. Louis Mills Stadium 18 and IMAX, he threw a cup of an unknown liquid that landed on the police officer's chest.

ANIMAL BITE: Police responded to a call in the 8400 block of Latty where it was reported that there was a barking dog, according to police. While officers were checking the area the dog attacked two police officers.  The animal was shot and killed by the officers responding on scene, according to police.

 

November 3

SECOND-DEGREE ROBBERY: A man in the 7300 block of Normandie Ct. punched a woman and took her wallet, according to police.

ASSAULT: A teacher was injured during a fight between two teenagers at Hazelwood West Middle School, according to police.

 

November 1

BURGLARY: Individuals broken into a residence on the 100 block of Cady through an open rear door and stole electronics.

STEALING: Police responded to a call at Auto World where wheels and tires were stolen from a vehicle.

 

October 31

FRAUD/PASSING A BAD CHECK: An individual has a warrant for their arrest after writing a bad check to the City of Hazelwood, according to police.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Two people were arrested in the 7300 block of North Hanley during a suspicious vehicle check when it was discovered that two people in the car were in possession of suspected heroin.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Police found an individual in the 1000 block of Pinecone Trails unconscious and possessing a syringe that police say contained suspected heroin.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Police responded to a call in the 10th block of Riverwood Estates Drive. Someone broke out windows to the victim's vehicle.

 

October 26

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Hazelwood Police were involved in a small police chase while assisting a neighboring law enforcement agency as they attempted to stop a vehicle. According to police, the vehicle drove through a yard breaking a bird bath and fence. One suspect was arrested.

BURGLARY: A few items were taken from a home in the 800 block of Teson when entry was gained through rear door. Those items include electronics, money and a pellet gun, according to police.

PASSING A BAD CHECK: Someone dined and ditched at Outback Steakhouse using a closed bank account to pay for food, according to police.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: A boyfriend now has a warrant out for his arrest after assaulting his girlfriend in the 6000 block of Boulder Creek. According to police, the man punched his girlfriend in the face.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: An individual dug an even deeper grave while being booked at the Hazelwood Police Department. According to police, while inventorying a suspect's property during the booking process, an officer located a suspected crack pipe.

PEACE DISTURBANCE: An upset student at MTC Trucking School was arrested after he failed his driving test and threatened to strap a bomb to his truck and drive it into the school, according to police.
