Hazelwood Man Assaulted In His Home
Police respond to a call in the 200 block of Sadonia Tuesday night of a man assaulted by a group with a gun.
A Hazelwood man is coping with being the victim of an assault at his home on May 23.
According to a (HPD) press release, at approximately 9:18 p.m., HPD officers responded to a call of an assault in progress in the 200 block of Sadonia.
Upon arrival, the officers contacted the victim who said that five black male subjects entered his residence and assaulted him, according to the release. It also states that the victim said that at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects stole items from within the residence then fled the area in a light colored sports utility vehicle, according to the release.
The victim was treated at an area hospital for his injuries and was later released, according to the release. The investigation is ongoing.
