Hazelwood Crime: Runaway Found Safe, Denny's Gets Stiffed

Plus: a woman is harassed by phone, cases of burglary and larceny and more.

Here’s a rundown of crime that occurred in the City of Hazelwood on Aug. 17. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

  • Stealing: Someone left Denny’s Restaurant without paying for the food eaten.
  • Phone Harassment: Someone a woman knows called her and threatened her by phone. The suspect resides in the state of Maryland and has a history of past violence.
  • Runaway: A juvenile who resides in the 5300 block of Knoll Creek and is listed as a “habitual runaway” by Hazelwood Police was located safe and sound in St. Louis City at his brother’s home.
  • Burglary: Someone broke into the front door of a home in the 5300 block of Knollwood Parkway between 5:30 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. The door was forced open and several items were taken.
  • Larceny: Someone stole the GPS from a vehicle parked in the 9000 block of Dunn Road.
