Hazelwood Crime: Person Buys Car with Bad Check

And, a person used someone's identity to get a Spot Loan. The HPD supplied the information in Monday's report. Arrests or charges listed don't indicate conviction.

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred March 11 and March 12 in the City of Hazelwood. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

March 11

Property Damage: Vehicle tires were slashed in the 4800 block of Tall Tree Ln.

Assault: Two students fought at Hazelwood West High School.

Stealing: A student's phone was stolen at Hazelwood West Middle School.

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested for marijuana during a traffic stop in the 7200 block of N. Lindbergh Blvd. The person had a warrant out for their arrest for a crime unrelated to this incident.

Property Damage: A car windo was smashed on the St. Louis Outlet Mall parking lot. Nothing was taken from inside the car.

Drug Arrest: A woman was arrested in the 6000 block of Howdershell Road during a traffic stop. The woman had warrants out for her arrest for crimes unrelated to this. A crack pipe was found on her person.

March 12

Stealing: A person was arrested during a traffic stop in the 7300 block of N. Hanley Road. The person had a warrant out for their arrest for stealing.

Bad Check: A person fraudulently bought a car in the 9000 block of Dunn Road. They used a check written on a closed bank account.

Property Damage: Siding on the front of a house was damaged in the 7500 block of Georgetown.

Identity Theft: A person used another person's name to get a Spot Loan in the 7300 block of Normandie Ct.

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested for having marijuana during a traffic stop at Village Square Shopping Center. The driver had warrants out for their arrest for crimes unrelated to this.

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested for having marijuana during a traffic stop on N. Hanley Road at Interstate-270. The driver had warrants out for their arrest for crimes unrelated to this.

Stealing: License plates were stolen off a car in the 8600 block Morningaire Circle.
