Hazelwood Crime: Mother Interferes with Daughter's Arrest, Teens Snatch and Run

The Hazelwood Police Department supplied the following information for Wednesday's police blotter. Arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred on February 20 in the City of Hazelwood. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

Domestic Assault: A 19-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend in the 1500 block of Ville Rosa. While the officer was attempting to arrest the woman, she began to resist. Her mother was present interfered with the officer as he was attempting to handcuff the woman. The woman was eventually arrested and also booked with failure to comply, resisting arrest and being a minor in possession of alcohol. Her mother was arrested and charged with failure to comply and interfering with an arrest.

Domestic Assault: A man was arrested for punching his child's mother in the mouth in the 100 block of Becker.

Strong Arm Second-Degree Robbery: Two male teenagers took another teen's iPhone and ran in the 7300 block of Howdershell Rd. The suspects were identified as Hazelwood School District students, one of whom attends Hazelwood West Middle School. The investigation is ongoing.

Stealing: A purse and other items were stolen from a vehicle in the 9000 block of Dunn Rd.

Stealing: Items were stolen from Prime Jewelers.
