Hazelwood Based Krupp Trucking Raided

The IRS, along with Hazelwood police officers remove boxes of information from the building.

Krupp Trucking, a business based in the City of Hazelwood, may be in some trouble as KMOV is reporting Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents were seen raiding the company's headquarters of boxes filled with files and information Wednesday.

The logistics and freighting company located on Byassee Drive just north of Lambert St. Louis International Airport, grew in December of 2010 by 60,000 square feet when signed a lease expansion on the location.

Krupp Trucking now solely occupies the 120,000-square-foot building being raided but according to the report, workers at a neighboring trucking company are concerned about the items that they have stored inside the warehouse.

Access to the products in the warehouse should open up Thursday.

The Hazelwood Police Department (HPD) assisted in the seizure, according to KMOV, and both agencies spent more than eight hours hauling documents out of the business starting at 8 a.m.

HPD was called out the business on November 6 of last year for a burglary. At that time, police responded to the scene where the front window of the business had been broken out. According to police, entry was gained and a cash box was stolen.

Hazelwood Patch will have more information on the raid and the story develops.
