Fox2 Video: Police Find Berkeley Grandmother Brutally Murdered

Alleged murder happened just a few miles outside Hazelwood city limits.

A 61-year-old grandmother was found brutally murdered inside her Berkeley home sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, Fox2 News reports. 

Police are withholding the woman's name, according to a story in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, but are saying she lived in a small brick home in the 9000 block of Harold Drive. The address is roughly three miles outside of  and just south of the Missouri Air National Guard.

The sister of the victim got suspicious when she didn’t show up for work this morning. Her sister drove in from St. Charles County and found the woman’s body lying in a hallway.

The woman last spoke to relatives around 9:30 (p.m.) Tuesday night.

She was due at work at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Police believe that she was murdered sometime in that 10 hour period.
