Car Crashes Into Hazelwood Church

The woman told Hazelwood Police Department officers responding to the accident she fell asleep at the wheel.

It appears a woman may have fallen asleep behind the wheel and crashed into an office, located at the intersection of Dunn Road and Lynn Haven Lane.

Hazelwood Police Department Lt. Ron Livingston said the woman crashed her 2003 Honda Civic into a church leasing space out of the office complex.

The accident happened a little after 6 a.m. when the car came through Immanuel Worship Center's  storefront.

The woman was driving home from work and told police she fell asleep, Livingston said.

No charges are pending against her. The church was not open at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported.

No word on a cause, but a car ended up in a Hazelwood Business.

The Hazelwood Police Department responded to the call of a person crashing a car into the building shortly after 6 a.m. Friday.

Police say the office, located at the intersection of Dunn Road and Lynn Haven Lane was closed at the time of the crash.

Police reported no injuries.
