Broken Window Leads Witnesses, Police to Burglary Suspect

Witnesses saw three men fleeing the scene and police found DNA that led them to a man now charged with the crime.

A breaking window alerted Hazelwood residents to an attempted burglary and helped lead police to at least one suspect.

Clifford Jones, 19, of the 100 block of Montieth Circle in Riverview, was charged Thursday with second-degree attempted burglary.

Hazelwood Police said Jones and two others broke a window in a home in the 5200 block of Ville Angela Lane at about 9 p.m. April 20. They put a jacket over the broken glass.
