Officer Jonathan Anth is recovering after he had to be extracted him from his police vehicle on Saturday.
Maj. Henry Mansker said Anth, an eight year veteran of the Hazelwood Police Department, was responding to assist other officers in the investigation of a stolen pickup truck.
He'd just arrived on the scene when the vehicle thief ran a red light and rammed the stolen car into Anth's vehicle while trying to escape. The point-of-impact was the driver’s side door. See: Hazelwood Officer Injured In Pursuit of Stolen Car
