Blithe Spirit Hazelwood West Production

HWHST (Hazelwood West
High School Theatre
) kicks off their 2013-2014 season with Blithe
Spirit
, a play by Noël Coward. In this hilarious comedy, a sassy young ghost returns from the dead to wreak
havoc on her former husband and his second wife. The show runs Thursday through
Saturday, October 17-19 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $7 or $6 with a W.H.S. activity
pass.

Grover Smittle, the show’s director and HWHS theatre teacher,
says he chose Blithe Spirit because “It’s a fun look at what could happen if
one could call back the dead! There are wonderful roles for several actors, special
effects, and comic opportunities everywhere.”

 “You’re really going
to miss something great if you don’t see it!” says Brioni Garvin, the Hazelwood
West senior who will be playing the wacky Madame Arcati.

“Blithe Spirit”, notes: “I’m really glad this is my first play.  I’ve enjoyed playing this role, and I hope everyone
comes to see it!”

Over 45 enthusiastic Hazelwood
West students have put in over 1800 hours
to make sure that the people attending the play will
absolutely love it.  For more
