How's Life After 9/11?

In less than one month, the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the U.S. at the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania will be upon us. Share how your life has changed since then.

Where were you on 9/11? What do you remember?

Email Hazelwood Patch a picture with a few lines, a few paragraphs or a few pages with what you remember from your day nearly a decade ago, or how your life has changed since then.

In the alternative, you may want to share what you think about 9/11 after a decade has passed. Or do you even think about 9/11 at all? Maybe you were a youngster and are just now studying it as U.S. history?

However you tackle it, Patch wants to post it on the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Did you stop driving a gas consuming vehicle? Did you adopt a child that lost his or her parent on 9/11? Did you join the armed forces and serving in Iraq or Afghanistan? Or did the heroism of the firefighters and police officers choose a similar career path. Maybe you decided to pursue being a voice of tolerance in the wake of the racial profiling that occurred towards some ethnic groups following the attacks.

Some may remember the tragedy as a day that changed their worlds.

Others may comment on the more practical aspects: It's the day that made airplane flight more time-consuming.

We thank you, in advance, for sharing a picture and a few lines with folks, in an effort to perhaps bring some unity.
