The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and its contractor, Pace Construction Company, will close the left lane of eastbound Interstate 270 between Lindbergh Boulevard and Interstate 170 on weekends starting Friday.

A MoDOT statement said the closing of this stretch of highway, which goes through Hazelwood, will be weather permitting. Crews will close the left lane beginning at 9 p.m. and a second left lane will close Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.

All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, according to MoDOT.

The work is part of the bridge rehabilitation project for the Coldwater Creek bridges on eastbound and westbound I-270. Various lane closures will occur throughout the next two-to-three months for this project.
