Hazelwood personal property owners take heed: will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24 - 25 and on Dec.31. That means if you wait to the last minute to pay your taxes, more likely than not you'll incur a fee.

The last day to pay tax bills in person is Thursday, Dec. 30. The North St. Louis County revenue office located in   is open from 8a.m until 4:30p.m.

All revenue offices accept checks and money orders, but only the North County and Clayton locations accept cash payments. Normal, non-holiday office hours are listed in the Patch Directory Listing for the office.

Payments must be received or postmarked by the United States Postal Service by midnight of December 31 or will be considered delinquent and subject to late charges. Late payments are subject to 2-percent interest per month, or any portion thereof, with a maximum of 18-percent each year, along with a 2-percent penalty.
