Get Out: Enjoy the City of Hazelwood's Luau, and more
This week's Get Out column also features the Missouri Black Expo and an opportunity to have a drink with a bunch of people in superhero or villain garb.
Saturday Play Days
When/Where: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at James J. Eagan Community Center, 1 James J Eagan Dr, Florissant, MO 63033
Why go: Have a play date with your little ones, infants up to 5 years old. Mats, balls, music and lots of toys provided.
Pricing: $1 for resident, $2 non-resident
When/ Where: Saturday at , 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Why go: Say good-bye to summer in true tropical fashion by joining Hazelwood Parks and Recreation for a Luau at the Aquatic Center. The Hawaiian Polynesian Review will perform, along with the Caribbean/Hawaiian Island steel drum music of Nigel Thomas. Kabobs and side dishes can be purchased. Lifeguards will be on duty all night; all rules are to be followed. Swimmers must wear proper attire. Security provided.
Pricing: $4 for residents and $6 for non-residents

When/Where: Saturday and Sunday, America’s Center, 701 Convention Plz, Saint Louis, MO 63101, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Why Go: This is a family events with a health fair, literacy corner, music festival, gospel competition and praise dance competition. Come enjoy all the sights and sounds.
Pricing: $6, Kids 6 and younger are free

Soulard Superhero Pub Crawl Location
When/ Where: Saturday, 9 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. in Soulard.
Why go: The objective is to bring together as many costumed super heroes and super villains as possible down to Soulard for Fun and super hero drinking. To participate in the event wear a costume.
Pricing: Free
Jammin' at the Zoo
When/ Where: August 24, 6 - 10 p.m. at the St. Louis Zoo
Why go: Adults 21 and over are invited to enjoy music and wine. Entertainers include All 4 Nothin', CoCo Soul, Fat Pocket and 3 Handsome Guys. Wine Sampling from 6 to 8 p.m. Sample wines from more than 50 wineries. Picnic baskets are welcome, but no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Pricing: Free for zoo members, $10 for non-members at the South, tasting package $10 more
