Kelly's Donuts Is A Bright Spot in Hazelwood

This neighborhood doughnut shop ensures that you'll have a delicious start to every morning.

Nestled in an unassuming strip mall on Lindbergh Boulevard lies one of Hazelwood’s best kept secrets. While it may not seem like much to the casual observer, just one step inside will change your perception.

This mystical place? . This modest doughnut shop has been in Hazelwood for years, creating dozens upon dozens of hot, fresh doughnuts. And it doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

I walked into Kelly’s Donuts on a busy weekday morning and was immediately impressed by the variety of donuts from which to choose. Whether you enjoy cake donuts, glazed donuts or even cinnamon rolls, Kelly’s Donuts has you covered. And at $6.99 a dozen, the prices won’t break the bank, either.

Kelly’s Donuts also features a number of breakfast specials on the menu, ranging from the bacon, egg and cheese omelet ($3.99) to the old fashioned egg sandwich with bacon ($2.00). The breakfast specials, along with the large variety of doughnuts, including glazed, sugar, and long johns, is served until closing time at 1 p.m. If they last that long, that is.

During my visit to Kelly’s Donuts, after perusing the offerings, I finally settled on a frosted cake donut with sprinkles, as well as a regular glazed.

Both doughnuts were absolutely delicious. They were obviously fresh and had a subtle yeasty smell that made me imagine I was in a true French bakery.

The next time you find yourself craving a deliciously prepared donut, look no further than Kelly’s Donuts. Your stomach will thank you.

Oh, I should NOT have read this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. That photo of the donuts with the tall glass of (assumingly) cold milk was just too much for me to handle! :) Love your food shots! Thanks for your reviews, I always enjoy reading them. I also appreciate when you tag the places or have a photo of the outside of the storefront. It's nice to put a "name with a face" and usually I say, "I've passed that place a million times!" and make the connection. Thanks again for your reviews, Stephanie.

I used to love kelly's donuts...I ordered a turkey sausage sandwich they didnt tell me they where out of turkey and gave me a pork sausaage instead. So I took it back and the lady at the front desk told me it should not matter just eat the sandwich. I told her no I dont eat pork and I wanted my money back she got mad and threw my money back at me. Yeah if there is a issue the will act like they dont speak eenglish!

I drive by this place every morning on my way to work. There are often a few cars in the parking lot that time of the morning. I once decided that I would stop in and pick up a few donuts to eat before work. They had a pretty large selection and I picked out some of my favorites and bought some milk to go along with them. Once I got to work and settled in, I got to the donuts. I am sorry to say that I was really disappointed with them. I didn't like any of them. This place is so convenient for me, I wish I could like them, but just can't. When I want donuts, I drive a little ways out of my way to get donuts that I like.
