Scott Krupp Speaks on IRS Seizure from His Hazelwood Trucking Company

Krupp Trucking owner says the seizure involves his ex-wife's former trucking company as well as his company.

The Krupp Trucking offices in Hazelwood were raided Wednesday by the IRS and Hazelwood Police. Hazelwood Patch reported that agents carried boxes of files out of the offices for several hours.

Owner Scott Krupp on Thursday told Patch.com that the raid involved Krupp Trucking and his ex-wife’s former company, AK Trucking. He said his ex-wife’s company formerly operated out of the same building.

He told Land Line, a magazine for truckers, that the raid involved a dispute over taxes owed by his ex-wife’s former company, AK Transportation.

“I don’t owe the IRS any money,” Krupp told Land Line.

IRS officials would not comment on the raid.

Meanwhile, Krupp Trucking continues to operate, he said.

“We were never closed. We worked that day (during the raid), even when it was going on,” he said.

About a year ago, Krupp Trucking expanded by 60,000 square feet, doubling its space in the industrial area along Byassee Drive off of McDonnell Boulevard.
