Get Out: See a Comedy Show for a Good Cause or Get a Child an ID at Hazelwood's MoCHIP Event

The Hazelwood Police Department is hosting it's third Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program at Cabela's at St. Louis Mills along with much more.

When/Where: Friday, June 10 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Ferguson Citywalk

Why Go: It's free! Bring a lawn chair or sit at one of the onsite picnic tables. Food booth will be on site for food purchases. Coolers are permitted glass bottles are not. This week's band is the Neon Blues Band.

When/Where: Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at at St. Louis Mills

Why Go: The event has children go through the ID process, allowing parents to take home with them a sealed envelope containing vital information and instructions on what to do when a child ends up missing. Several ID stations will be set up inside Cabela's to record the children's physical features, as well as snap digital photos and scan fingerprints. All this information is then burned onto a mini-CD disk, which can be uploaded to the Amber Alert system within a minute and a half.

Why Go: It's for a good cause. Comedian David Graham, a resident of Hazelwood, will be performing with all proceeds going to help Joplin tornado victims.

Pricing: $15 individual, $25 couple

SOULARD MARKET PARK ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR

When/Where: Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the intersection of South 9th Street and Lafayette Avenue in St. Louis.

Why Go: There will be more than 50 artists vending. The fair will include live music, food, street performers and area nonprofit organizations. Shoppers can expect to find a variety of handmade items including: jewelry, bags, totes, handmade clothing, accessories, terrariums, and house wares.

Pricing: free event but items are available for purchase

When/Where: Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 788 Augustine Rd. in Wildwood.

Why Go: Interested in model aircraft, radio controlled planes or aviation in general? Stop by the Gateway Fly In, hosted by the Saint Louis Radio Control Flying Association.
