Bread Co. Warms Up St. Louis in February

Select businesses can warm their tummies with free soup on Wednesdays.

Even though St. Louis’ winter has been mild so far, there are surely still more chilly days to come. To get through the mid-week winter blues, St. Louis Bread Co. is launching a new program starting Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Warm-Up Wednesdays is a new program where free soup is given to area businesses, community groups, construction site workers, volunteers, etc.

There may not be a Bread Co. in the , but that doesn't mean Hazelwood residents can't benefit. Throughout February, Bread Co. is asking peope from throughout the Greater St. Louis Area to nominate those who they think deserves a Warm-Up via Twitter and Facebook. Tweet @panerabread.com using #warmupwednesday or write on Bread Co.’s Facebook wall. Bread Co. will then use the recommendations and warm up selected businesses each Wednesday of the month.

Also, on the final Wednesday (Feb. 29), Bread Co. is asking customers to help warm up those in need in the area. Customers are asked to bring in three non-perishable food items that day for a free bowl of soup. The donated food items will go to Operation Food Search.

Lastly, Wednesday, Feb. 1, Bread Co. is giving away free coffee to everyone in the St. Louis area who visits Bread Co.
