New businesses are sprouting up all over town here lately.

Have you noticed the empty space where Green Dream Florist used to be on Howdershell Road is no longer empty?

Here's a look at three new businesses that have opened in the . Some have opened in prominent locations, while others are a little harder to find.

Subway: A new Subway opened in the location at 6150 Howdershell Road that Green Dream Florist used to occupy near and in Howdershell Plaza. It's a standard Subway sandwich shop with the same options that most have.

Note the in Hazelwood also remains open, so one didn't close for another to open. The St. Louis Mills Subway also remains open.

The store was riddled with some controversy for a while during the construction phase with union workers picketing the location in the spring.

Cutt'n Headz Hair Center: One of three new businesses to move into the retail center located across the street from , Cutt'n Headz Hair Center is located at 6853 Howdershell Road.

Its neighbors include on one side and on the other.

The barber shop specializes in men's hair and hair cuts for all ethnicities.

Extraordinary Junque: One review of this consignment shop online describes it as "a great new business that just opened in Hazelwood."

Extraordinary Junque is a resale shop located right off of North Lindbergh Boulevard at 703 Lynn Haven Lane. It's situated across from where , which , stands empty.

It has a selection of antiques, furniture items, sports memorabilia, toys and housewares.
