Kidnapped Baby Girl Found, Police Still Searching for the Father

Police say Demi Grant's father, a 23 year old man named Bryan Grant, kicked in the door to the home at which the baby and her mother lived, and forced both into his truck.

The Amber Alert for a 11 month only baby girl has been canceled.

Demi Grant was found prior to 3 p.m., according to St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch's Twitter feed. She is safe and in good condition. 

Police said Grant dropped off his truck and the child at a friend's house and ran away. The friend then brought the car and the baby to a home at St. Louis Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard where police were then contacted.

Police are still looking for the father, Bryan Grant He is described as a black man, 5’10, 145 pounds with brown eyes, black hair.

Police ask that you call 9-1-1 should you see him.

St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct is investigating a Domestic assault and child abduction that took place just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3.

It happened in the 2600 block of Vanity Fair.

Police say an armed 23 year old man kicked in an apartment door of a 21 year old woman's home, who is the mother of his 11 month old child.

The man forced the woman and baby into his tan Ford Explorer and began driving, according to police.

The mother chose to jump from the vehicle at Jennings Station and Hord.

The man, Bryan Grant, and the child are still at-large.

He is described as a black man, 5’10, 145 pounds with brown eyes, black hair.

The baby girl’s name is Demi Grant. She too is black.
