Get Out: See Hazelwood's Encore to its Free Summer Concert Series

Hang out with the family while the weather is still mild. Here are some things to do in the area.

There's something to do almost every day of the week in either the or throughout North County, from concerets to fall festivals to breast cancer awareness events. Enjoy.


When/Where: 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the
Why go: Enjoy Hazelwood's last free outdoor concert of the season. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a bonfire and roast hot dogs.

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave, Saint Louis, MO
Why go: Engineering Career Day includes hands-on engineering activities. Visitors can play engineering-related games and see new technology displays from St. Louis metro area organizations. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Family Science Saturday offers up Halloween-related science projects. It runs from 11 a.m. to noon.
Pricing: Engineering Career Day is free. Family Science Saturday is $20 ($15 for Members) per person. $15 ($12 for members) per person for a group of 4 or more.

Why go: Enjoy this family-friendly event. More than 200 booths, including crafters, businesses and organizations, will be present for the festival.

Why go: As part of the malls month long "Celebrating Women" celebration, the  event will feature red velvet cupcakes from Mcarthur’s Bakery and Tea, sign ups for “best hat," and "best red window display." There will also be a free 8x10 picture at Dream Catchers Studio and other special deals throughout the mall for red hat society members.
