This week's Get Out column also features the culmination of St. Louis Blues Week as well as a few festivals and art fairs.
St. Louis Blues Week
When/ Where: This event goes through September 4 with a variety of locations and times. See schedule for details.
Why go: It's Blues. Enjoy one of the oldest musical art forms in American culture. There's great live music, including a blues reception, festival, brunch, cruises, workshops, discussions and awards. Festival performances will be at Washington and 6th Streets downtown. Saturday's music begins at 2 p.m.
Pricing: Prices vary for different activities.
Big Muddy Blues Festival
When/Where: Saturday and Sunday, Noon - 11 p.m. on Laclede's Landing
Why go: The event showcases more than 30 Blues and Blues-related bands, performing throughout the weekend on three outdoor stages.
Pricing: $10
The Greater Saint Louis Art Fair
When/ Where: Friday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Queeny Park
Why go: This is an opportunity to view and purchase original art work directly from more than 130. There's digital art, drawing & pastels, printmaking, fiber, glass, jewelry, photography, ceramics and more.
Pricing: $5 for adults, 18 and younger are free.

Santana With Michael Franti
When/Where: Tuesday at the Fabulous Fox at 7:30 p.m.
Why go: This is the Sound of Collective Consciousness Tour, playing songs spanning his career.
Pricing: $40 to $80.
Veteran's Festival
When/Where: Sat. - Mon., at the St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum and St. Louis Science Center and Missouri Botanical Garden.
Why go: Pay respect to veterans and enjoy sporting competitions, amusement rides, game booths, concerts and more on the schedule.
Pricing: Free.
