Hazelwood's 9th Annual Community Art Fair & Used Book Sale

The Hazelwood Community Enrichment Commission is hosting its 9th Annual Community Art Fair and Used Book Sale on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The event will be held at Hazelwood Community Center, 1186 Teson Road in White Birch Park.

Local artists, age 16 and over, are encouraged to enter their paintings and drawings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastels or pencil.  No sculptures, photos or computer generated graphics will be accepted.  All entries will be professionally judged in four categories: Landscape/Still Life; Real Life; Fantasy/Science Fiction; and Abstract/Non-Objective.  Cash prizes are going to be awarded in each cagetory.

Artists may enter up to 10 pieces of art, each displayed on a easel for people of all ages to see.  They can sell their works if the opportunity arises.  Entry applications are available at the Hazelwood Community Center and Civic Center East. Advanced registration is preferred, but entries will be accepted on the morning of the fair.
