The city estimates approximately 5,000 people attended Hazelwood Harvestfest and said with the deletion of the ever so popular parade, which in the past has kicked off the event, the scavenger hunt with a $500 purse brought many people out.

"Each year, the City of Hazelwood puts on this fall festival event to showcase our first-class amenities to visitors who may be catching a first glimpse of our community," said Mayor Matthew Robinson of Hazelwood. "Not only does Harvestfest help build civic pride among local residents, but it also projects Hazelwood as a thriving North County community that offers a welcoming atmosphere of Midwestern living at its finest."
