'Patch' Readers Get Active on Facebook and Twitter

Conversation on our Facebook and Twitter pages has been increasing this week, and we have to thank our readers for this.

This past week, we saw a rise in our Facebook “likes." We now have 313 Facebook fans and 724 Twitter followers.

The Facebook World

This past week, avid Facebook fans like Michele Schindler-Bauer about thier adoration for teams . This editor understands Michele, we have a split decision in our household as well!

People also gave their opinions the new look of the Hazelwood Patch Facebook page when we and what picture should be featured. Thanks to Bill Olwig, Michele Schindler-Bauer, Kelly Kirkbride, Jeanine Kastrup Gahr, Councilwoman Mary Singleton, Liz Kiernan, Annette Pentecost, Allan Paschal, St. Charles Patch and St. Louis radio personality Tammie Holland for helping out with that.

We've even had local people share information about local events, organizations, accomplishments, etc. on our Facebook page as well as on the site. Remember you can like our Hazelwood Patch on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HazelwoodPatch.

Getting into the Twitter-speak

In the Twitter world, we continue to see a rise in regional followers, such as @FergusonScoop,  ‏ @nightlifestl,  @STLRocks and @TBTII. But we want to make sure that Hazelwood folks are getting into the mix, so make sure to follow us @HazelwoodPatch. 

Just like Facebook, we provide updates and news through our tweets, but we also pose questions and re-tweet information about the and St. Louis County and whatever that is felt to be timely.
