A Hazelwood teenager has been named a pageant winner for something other than her beauty and scholastic accolades.
Kaitlynn Frost, a recent graduate of Hazelwood West High School, won the Young American Miss for 2013-14 title at the Young American Miss International pageant.
The pageant focuses on the participants’ involvement in community service and an essay submission, according to the recent post to Patch.
