5 Things to Get Hazelwood Students Ready for School

We're helping you get the kids ready for school with some need-to-know information about the upcoming school year.

With the first day of school right around the corner, we’re helping parents and guardians get ready.

Here’s a rundown of helpful facts and tips to get you started in the 2013-2014 school year.

  1. The first day of school is Aug. 12.
  2. With the latest numbers from the Cooperating School District of St. Louis, the Hazelwood School District will welcome more than 280 students from Riverview Gardens and Normandy school districts.
  3. If you’re still gathering all of your child’s school supply needs, check out the Hazelwood School District website for a supply breakdown by school.
  4. After the kids come home from the first day, share your experiences, the good and bad, with us through a blog.
  5. School starts bright and early Monday with elementary schools starting at 8:50 a.m., middle schools at 8:10 a.m. and high schools at 7:25 a.m.
