Armstrong Elementary is holding a PTV/Volunteer Information for parents on Thursday, July 26 from 6-7 p.m. in the school’s library. With one month until students are filling seats in Hazelwood school buildings, the Hazelwood School District has been named "What Parents Want." SchoolMatch, a national firm specializing in rating public schools, recognized the Hazelwood School District (HSD) as one of 29 Missouri districts to receive the “What Parents Want” award. Less than a week after her last day, the Hazelwood School District has announced her replacement. Welcome Dr. Tony Brooks. Tony Brooks will be the new principal West Middle effective immediately. Starting in the 2012-2013 school year, the Hazelwood School District, which participates in the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) School Meal Programs are required to meet new nutrition standards for breakfast and lunch meals. The change is driven by the 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, that President Barack Obama signed into law.
