As anyone who has ever attended the annual "Comic Con" convention will tell you...Comics RULE!
But did you know that action, lively characters and a sequential format have been a longstanding tradition in the comic arts?
From the simple panel cartoon to a graphic novel, comic art storytelling appeals to audiences both young and old. In the last few decades there has been a rise of fine art which clearly have an influence from the comic genre.
To feed our fantasy and love for all things cartoon, the Foundry Art Centre will debut "Ka-Pow! Comic Art & Storyboarding" on Friday, July 27, 2012.
Original works influenced from traditional or contemporary comics executed in any media will be featured in this exciting and unique exhibition.
Join me at the FREE Opening Reception on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm, and find out how comics and cartoons have evolved to become works of art.
