Woman, 55, Seriously Injured in Three-Car Accident Near I-70 and Lindbergh
Nine people were sent to the hospital after a three-car accident on I-70 sent one Bridgeton woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
A 55-year-old Bridgeton woman was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a three-car accident on Interstate 70 that sent nine people to the hospital.
Cristle Martin was a passenger in a car traveling eastbound on I-70 near the Lindbergh Boulevard intersection at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday when the car slid and spun around, facing the opposite direction on the highway.
The car was then struck head-on by another car, which was subsequently hit by a third vehicle, which was a Gillig bus.
Martin was the only one seriously injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Another Bridgeton woman, 34-year-old Jamie Pohl, was moderately injured.
All those involved were taken by Pattonville Ambulance to DePaul Hospital.
