The week began with a few crimes that occurred throughout the season. Holiday coverage was everywhere on the site including the coverage of local Christmas babies and things people do on Christmas. We told you what area businesses would be open on Christmas, and showed you how to wrap gifts if you don't enjoy using wrapping paper.

There was also coverage of a Maryland Heights man that won the lottery at a Missouri Bottom Road gas station, and we showed you some area firefighters doing a few good deeds for children in need.

Hazelwood Patch also tuned you in to coverage of the first snow, and showed you what local businesses are doing to get their piece of the holiday shopping pie, including the post office. Check all these things out in a few picture below, as well as read one of this weeks mommy columns about bullying.

About this column: A look back through happenings, meetings, events and more for the week. Related Topics: Hazelwood police department, Mo, United States Post Office, and Usps
