Thieves Steal Part of the Irrigation System at Steak 'n Shake

And, a drug arrest leads to suspected stolen merchandise being seized for safekeeping in Tuesday's crime report.

 

Here are a few of the crimes that have occurred in the City of Hazelwood throughout the past two weeks. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

May 17

Drug Arrest: A traffic stop in the 7200 block of North Hanley Road resulted in the driver being arrested for possession of marijuana. A cache of suspected stolen merchandise was seized for safekeeping.

Stealing: Ammunition was stolen from Cabela’s.

Stealing: Part of the irrigation system was stolen at Steak 'n Shake. It's unknown the date and time of occurrence.

Domestic Assault: Female assaulted her boyfriend and she was arrested in the 200 block of Anistasia Drive.

Domestic Assault: A wife assaulted her husband, then fled the area when the police were called in the 7500 block of English Coach Lane.

Drug Arrest: An individual was arrested for being in possession of drugs during a traffic stop at the intersection of Aubuchon and Missouri Bottom roads.

May 18

Stealing: Two people were arrested for attempting to steal copper in the 1700 block of Teson road.

Stealing: A person was  arrested for stealing at Gap Outlet.

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of North Hanley and Pershall roads when heroin was discovered.

Stealing: An individual stole items from inside a vehicle at St. Louis Mills.

May 19

Drug Arrest: An individual was arrested during a traffic stop in the 7300 block of Howdershell Road when found in possession of controlled substance.

Attempted Burglary: An individual entered a home in the 200 block of Sadonia Avenue through an unlocked front door. Nothing was stolen.

Domestic Assault: A woman in the 1700 block of Coachway Lane threw a bottle at her boyfriend. She fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police.

Theft: Patio furniture stolen from a resident's patio in the 20 block of Mary Rose Court.

May 20

Stealing: A woman was arrested for stealing a cell phone from another woman in the 7500 block of North Lindbergh Boulevard.

Drug Possession: A vehicle driver was arrested after being found to be in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North Hanley Road.

That's crazy. I assume the theft was to sell the metal. The only reason I could think of because no one is going to install a partial irrigation system at their home. Or, maybe some sort of grown operation? Just my 2 cents.

Those are the only reasons I could imagine also Ashley. Unfortunately the people haven't been caught so we really don't know yet.
