The Retro Nerds kicked off Hazelwood’s 2012 Summer Concert Series Saturday with a high energy performance.

The Retro Nerds are a retro ‘80’s cover band, that recently auditioned at for America's Got Talent. The band sang songs including Boy George’s #1 international hit, Karma Chameleon and rocked the house in its signature look--nerdy costumes.

A crowd of nearly 200 people attended the concert.

The summer series, which is free, takes place at Truman Park. The next band scheduled to perform is  Penny Moon and Copper Creek on Saturday, June 16.
