The Kids are Ready to go, What's on the Agenda?

From children's book releases at St. Louis Mills Mall, to learning new bike bmx tricks at Hazelwood's skate park, there's plenty to do with the family.

 

Below are a few events that don't occur every day. Take the kids then come back and comment on how you enjoyed the event. Have something else that's a great gathering for kids? Post it in the comments section.

SKATE/BMX PARK

  • When/Where: Every day except Friday, times vary at the Hazelwood Community Center located at White Birch Park.

  • Why Go: The skate/bmx park officially opened for the season March 14. This is a fun and safe environment in which your children can practice those bike and skate moves. Come hang out and for a low price your child can practice with other like-minded youth.

  • Price: $1 for residents, $2 for visitors

    KIDS N CLAY

    • When/Where: Thursday, March 24 at the Painted Pot, 3812 Monticello Plz. in St. Charles, from 4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m.

    • Why Go: The Painted Pot and Renaud Spirit Center are teaming up to offer this class for kids, where they can learn how to shape and experiment with clay. This class meets for six sessions.

    • Price: $160 for a resident, $177 for a non-resident

    MON TRICE BOOK RELEASE PARTY

    • When/Where: Saturday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Family Jump Center at St. Louis Mills Mall

    • Why Go: This a party to commemorate the release of "Changing Seasons," a children's book by Mon Trice. he event will include refreshments, readings, door prizes and drawings.

    • Price: Free

    HEAD ‘EM UP AND MOVE ‘EM OUT ROUNDUP

    • When/Where: Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Blanchette Memorial Hall.

    • Why Go: Bring your little cowboy or cowgirl (ages 3-8) out for a day of dress up, lassoing farm animals, bandana making and roasting s’mores around the campfire.

    • Price: $15 per child

    HARE IN THE AIR EGG HUNT

    • When/Where: Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m. – noon at the Logan College of Chiropractic campus in Chesterfield – 1851 Schoettler Rd.

    • Why Go: It’s an Easter egg hunt! There will be lots of activities for children of all ages including balloon artists and a petting zoo.

    • Price: Free
