McNair Elementary Students Jump Rope for Heart
The students took part in the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart event to raise awareness about cardiovascular health.
McNair Elementary School students in the Hazelwood School District (HSD) jumped to their heart's content for a good cause recently.
The students took part in the American Heart Association's (AHA) Jump Rope for Heart event.
In Jump Rope for Heart, students spend time in physical education classes learning about different jump rope tricks and how jumping rope helps cardiovascular health.
In 2011 HSD schools raised nearly $40,000 for the American Heart Association.
In 2010, McNair finished third in the metropolitan area and 11th in Missouri with $6,200 raised that year as a school, during the event, according to physical education teacher Rob Iezzi.

Very cute. I love that they are learning to help those in need at a young age.
