Lambert Airport Chief of Fire Operations Moves On to University City

Adam Long has been hired on as the city's fire chief and replaces Don Minor, who retired after 30-plus years of service with the fire department.

 

Adam Long has been appointed the new chief of the University City Fire Department. He replaces Chief Don Miner, who recently retired after 32 years of service.

Long has spent 30 years with the City of St. Louis Fire Department. He currently serves as the Chief of Fire Operations for the City of St. Louis at Lambert International Airport.

“I am very pleased that Adam Long will be the new Fire Chief of University City,” said City Manager Lehman Walker. “His experience and his determination make him a great fit for the position and for our community.”

His first day on the job will be Jan. 28.
