Juvenile Attacks Hazelwood Teens with a Sickle Blade
The 16-year-old teenager was wearing a 'Scream' mask and wielded the sickle at a group of Hazelwood teens in a secluded area near railroad tracks, according to KSDK.
A 16-year-old teen is charged with second-degree assault for allegedly attacking another teen with a sickle Tuesday in Hazelwood.
Authorities say the attacker was wearing a mask like the one seen in "Scream" movies and wielding a sickle, according to KSDK.
Hazelwood Police Department Capt. Gregg Hall spoke with KSDK's Sharon Stevens following a news tip to the station about the incident.
"He put his sickle at the neck of the male juvenile in a threatening manner," he told Stevens. "The male juvenile pushed him away, forced the kid to the ground, took the sickle away from him."
The group, which consisted of three 16-year-old teens, a boy and two girls, were walking in a wooded area near some railroad tracks when they were ambushed from behind. Police say the group knows the assailant whose name isn't being released because he is a minor.

So either he thought this would be a funny joke to play on some people he knew, or he was trying to recreate the movie. Either way it was dumb move on his part.

That sure is an expensive lesson to learn. Bad move.
