Free Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell Thanks to World Series Steal

The offer is only good today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thank San Francisco Giants player Angel Pagan for stealing a base during the World Series.

Although the Cardinals didn't make it to the World Series, baseball has one last gift to give from the 2012 season: free tacos.

The giveaway is a result of the "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion by Taco Bell, which promised to give away free food if a base was stolen during the World Series. The San Francisco Giants' Angel Pagan did just that in Game 2, sliding into second base and effectively earning one free Doritos Locos Taco to any person in the country.

To collect on the taco bonanza, head to a participating Taco Bell location, like the one on North Lindbergh Boulevard in the City of Hazelwood  from 2-6 p.m. today. Just try not to get too misty-eyed thinking about the St. Louis Cardinals dropping three games to the Giants and be thankful, at least, that something good come out of it.

For any locations closed because of Hurricane Sandy, Taco Bell announced via its Facebook page the company will set up a later date for customers to get their free taco.
