Harvestfest Promises Fun for All Ages, Plus an Olympic Legend on Saturday
There will be special events for all ages, and the Sept. 9 event is free and open to the public.
The City of Hazelwood will celebrate its biggest event of the year on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Howdershell Park, kicking off with a parade that starts at Hazelwood City Hall.
“For this year’s event, we’re excited to announce that four-time U.S. Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who was voted by Sports Illustrated as ‘The Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century,’ will be leading the parade as the Grand Marshal,” said City of Hazelwood communications coordinator Tim Davidson.
The Hazelwood Harvestfest is free and open to the public. There’s a full-day of fun, family-oriented activities planned for the young and old alike, Davidson said. Three new activities added this year include a climbing w all, an inflatable zip line structure and Cabela’s fishing pond.

My family and I had a great time this year! I was kind of dissappointed that I didn't see Patch there in some capacity. More people should know about you guys!
