No word yet on what exactly will happen to the commercial lot located on Dunn Road, but one thing is certain—Budget Host Inn will be no more.

Hazelwood Patch drove past the motel on Thursday and although it was raining and crew was onsite tearing down the east side of the property.

The location has been vacant for some time. In 2012 the Hazelwood Police Department and the Hazelwood Fire Department responded to an anonymous tip that a room at the motel was being used as a methamphetamine lab.

Good riddance. It was a bit of an eyesore and a downer on the city appearance. I wasn't surprised when I heard about the meth lab because well, that's what you would think would occur at a place with its appearance.

It was a bit rough on the eyes Ashley, lol. I'm excited to see what will replace it.
