Boeing F-18 Production Lines Get Senate Backing

Boeing's Defense, Space and Security division is headquartered in the City of Hazelwood.

The Senate Armed Services Committee approved a defense bill last week that would maintain the production lines of the F-18 in St. Louis, and among other things get stop a new round of base closings.

The Senate defense bill is estimated to cost $631 billion in fiscal 2013, but is still about $4 billion less than the House-passed version.
