Be Etched Eternally in Hazelwood History with Its Commemorative Brick Program in Brookes Park
Hazelwood is launching the Friends of Brookes Park Commemorative Brick Program that will generate revenue for the city’s historic buildings at Brookes Park.
The City of Hazelwood has some historical gems well-deserving of preservation.
All are housed in the Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division's Brookes Park and the community can become part of the effort to keep said projects moving forward through the newly launched Friends of Brookes Park Commemorative Brick Program.
The program will generate revenue for renovations and enhancements to the city’s historic buildings at the park.
Individuals, families, businesses, and other historical societies can support the city’s efforts to preserve its past for future generations by making a donation for an engraved brick to be displayed around the new kiosk at the park.
Two donation categories are being offered: a $100 level featuring a 4x8 inch brick which allows up to three lines of engraving with up to 13 characters per line; and a $175 level featuring an 8x8 inch brick which allows up to six lines of engraving with up to 13 characters per line.
Contact Tim Davidson with the city at (314) 513-5014 for more information.
