Angelo’s Chicago Taste Gets A Customer Complaint, Health Inspectors Deem it 'A' Grade

A customer complained that ants were on the restaurant’s floor and that soda nozzles needed to be wiped down. See what health inspectors had to say about the complaint in this week's Restaurant Report.

 

As inspections arise, Hazelwood Patch publishes information from St. Louis County Department of Health reports, along with the inspection grades.

During the summer months, Restaurant Report may feature Hazelwood area pools and how they fared under the watchful eye of the St. Louis County Department of Heath, along with the latest restaurant inspections that occurred throughout the past 90 days in the City of Hazelwood and nearby in Florissant, Maryland Heights and Creve Coeur:

Type of Inspection: Complaint

Grade: 100-A
Comments: Someone complained that ants were on the restaurant’s floor and that soda nozzles needed to be wiped down. Inspector saw no ants and the soda nozzles were clean.

Dogtown LLC
Address: 2182 N. Highway 67, Florissant

Type of Inspection: Opening

Grade: 100-A
Comments: Three employees enrolled in Servsafe and one employee; approved for opening July 5.

Gettemeier’s Bar
Address: 1740 Thunderbird Ave., Florissant
Date of Inspection: June 19
Type of Inspection: Routine

Grade: 100-A
Comments: Inspector noticed mildew build up on plastic shield inside but was corrected.

Kluckin’ Chicken
Address: 11429 Dorsett Rd., Maryland Heights

Grade: 90-A
Comments: Dish machine is not sanitizing; walls and floors seen with dirt and grime on them and fryers have old grease particles on them.
*Follow-up inspection scheduled for July 9.

Mayuri India Restaurant

Date of Inspection: June 20
Type of Inspection: Routine
Risk Factor: 2
Grade: 95-A
Comments: No hand towels found at the hand sink; food seen being stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler; walk-in floor has debris built up on it.

Trader Joe’s
Address: 11505 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur
Date of Inspection: June 20
Type of Inspection: Routine
Risk Factor: 1
Grade: 99-A
Comments: Food found underneath shelves of walk-in freezer.

I've never seen it be dirty inside Angelo's. Good food. Never seen any bugs either.
