HSD Staff Member Earns Honor from School Social Work Association of Missouri
The School Social Work Association of Missouri (SSWAM) named Raishelle Scott of the Hazelwood School District as the School Social Worker of the Year.
Each year, SSWAM honors a social worker who is dedicated to service to students, families and the community and who best exemplifies “the many committed and caring school social work professionals” who provide services throughout the state.
Scott works with students and families at Grannemann, Jury, Keeven and Twillman elementary schools, as well as with the HSD Community Response Team. She joined the District in 1996.
“Of course, I am very honored to be selected for this award, but I honestly believe that I received this honor due to my role as coordinator of the Hazelwood CRT because we have gone above and beyond what Senate Bill 595 mandated of the District," she said in a statement. "Therefore, I share this honor with all of the CRT members.”
